At Genesis Honey Co. we celebrate the extraordinary honey bee — a tireless craftsman of one of nature's most remarkable foods. We are a family-founded company from Mount Maunganui, in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty.
A siblings' journey from the Pacific Islands to New Zealand's pristine wilderness
Genesis Honey Co was founded by siblings Mishelle Chand and Steven Chand, whose journey began in the Fiji Islands, where they developed a deep appreciation for nature and the vital role of pollinators.
In 2013 the siblings moved to New Zealand, serving communities across New Zealand and the South Pacific. We fell in love with this land — its pristine landscapes and the extraordinary care that goes into producing genuine Mānuka honey.
Our mission became clear: to share genuinely pure, single-origin, sustainably harvested New Zealand Mānuka honey — independently tested, so nobody has to take our word for anything.

One origin
We do one thing: single-origin Mānuka honey. Not blended across regions or seasons — each jar comes from an identified harvest, tested as its own batch and packed under New Zealand's export regulations.
Open by default
Every jar we sell carries a batch code that traces back to its harvest, its laboratory test result and its packing run. That level of openness is unusual in honey. We think it should be the standard.
