Questions

Frequently Asked

  • What does MGO 700+ mean?

MGO is the minimum methylglyoxal level in milligrams per kilogram, independently tested by an MPI-recognised laboratory. 700+ sits in our premium potency tier.

  • How is your honey traceable?

Every jar carries a batch code printed on-pack. Enter it at /trace and you'll see the apiary, beekeeper, harvest window and lab result for that specific batch.

  • MGO vs UMF — what's the difference?

MGO measures methylglyoxal directly. UMF bundles MGO with leptosperin and DHA into a broader authenticity grade. The two are related but not directly interchangeable; we publish MGO because it's the cleanest single number to compare.

  • How should I enjoy it?

Straight off the spoon, stirred into warm (not hot) water with lemon, or layered onto sourdough. Avoid boiling — gentle warmth preserves the honey's character.

  • How do you store mānuka honey?

Keep it in a cool, dry place with the lid sealed. No refrigeration needed. Natural crystallisation is normal; warm the jar gently in a bowl of warm water if you'd like to soften it.

  • How long does a 250g jar last?

A daily teaspoon will last most people 6–8 weeks. Subscribers usually reorder around the 8-week mark.

  • Do you ship internationally?

Yes — tracked worldwide from New Zealand with full export documentation. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

  • What's your returns policy?

Damaged-in-transit jars are replaced free. Unopened jars can be returned within 30 days. See our Returns page for details.
